As a Gonser Gerger Senior Consultant, I bring over 20 years of experience and a relational approach to my work with higher education institutions and independent schools, healthcare systems, cultural, social service, and other non-profit organizations. Born out of my work at practically every level of fundraising strategy and deployment, my areas of focus include advancement; alumni relations; annual, capital, major and planned gift programs; strategic planning and visioning; campaign planning and execution; admissions; and other aspects of institutional advancement.
In addition to staying engaged with my community and serving in leadership roles on several non-profit boards, I have worked closely with a wide range of higher education departments and programs in advancement, academic leadership, and enrollment management. My work has also shaped policy in areas as diverse as admissions, scholarship management, financial aid, stewardship, marketing and branding, board governance, student affairs, and athletics.

I hold a Ph.D. in higher education with a concentration in Human Resource management. My dissertation research project took a deep dive into the Raiser’s Edge databases of three small, private universities—Bluffton College, Ohio Wesleyan, and Baldwin Wallace—to identify correlations between undergraduate engagement/involvement and a student’s willingness to give back later in their alumni years, providing an annual giving and major gift work roadmap that has been instrumental in capital and comprehensive campaign success.
